The solution I chose (rather than hack at core or a module) was to downgrade my XAMPP version. XAMPP 1.7.x uses PHP 5.3.x, whereas XAMPP 1.6.8 uses PHP 5.2.x. Drupal 6.x is not fully tested with PHP 5.3.x yet. Downgrading my XAMPP problem solved the issue. ... Conocerás cual era mi problema, porque decidà escribir un nuevo módulo para Drupal, que puede hacer el módulo ebook por ti, como descargarlo e instalarlo (¡yep, es GPL!) y mis ideas para futuras versiones (puedes añadir las tuyas a la lista ). .... Activa el módulo en admin/modules, esto creará tres nuevas tablas en tu base de datos. Visita admin/ebook y configura el módulo. El directorio para ebooks debe estar fuera de tu espacio web si quieres ofrecer descargas seguras
